Dow Jones, Nasdaq, S&P 500 All Hit Record Highs
The Dow Jones industrial average hit a record high on Monday, topping out at 21911.39 points.
A majority of companies listed on the S&P 500 index topped earnings estimates for their most recent quarterly results, reported CNBC:
Seventy-three percent of the S&P 500 companies that had reported as of Friday had topped estimates on both the top and bottom lines, according to data from FactSet.
Last week, the S&P 500 hit a record high, closing at 2473.58 points.
The Nasdaq also hit a record high last week, closing at 6422.74 points.
The Federal Reserve is expected to leave interest rates unchanged, reported CNBC, with only 3.1% of the market expecting a rate hike.
